So the time has come for me to hang up the gouge, turn off the power carver, and close the workshop doors as I write my final blog as Woodcarving Editor. Yes this is the last time I will be talking to you all through my special blog page, and you know what? I"m going to miss it really. Yes I am very excited and looking forward to starting my new adventure in the great outdoors, but I will miss being a part of such a wonderful community.
You have all been very supportive over the years and I have made some lovely friends and had some fantastic conversations with some of you, but the time is right for me to move on. The magazine is in a good place and it will continue to thrive under the guidance of Mark Baker and his deputy Miriam. The best of luck to both of them, and I"m sure you will all make them feel very welcome.
Please continue to support the magazine and this website. They offer so much for the community of carvers and woodworkers where we can all come together and chat about just about everything, as well as get some great advice, tips and help with our projects.
I will see some of you at shows and on this website from time to time so look out for me.
In the meantime, be true to yourselves, enjoy life and happy carving!
